Speakeasy’s STORY

Speakeasy’s story began after a series of disapointing first dates sourced from ‘top’ dating apps. These connections, or lack there of, all had one thing in common - it started with a picture. Speakeasy was designed to change that common denominator, and put the power behind personality instead.

Designing the UI, IA, and UX for Speakeasy meant reimagining how people connect—starting not with looks, but with voice. We crafted an intuitive interface that puts audio front and center, guiding users through a seamless flow from profile creation to meaningful matches. The information architecture prioritizes simplicity, with a clear path from listening to engaging, while the user experience is designed to feel warm, human, and low-pressure. Every element—from sound wave visuals to playful prompts—was created to support authentic interaction and highlight personality over appearance. Speakeasy isn’t just a dating app; it’s a fresh way to hear your next connection.
